Description/notes
NAFSO (National Fisheries Solidarity Movement), organizes fishermen to lobby the government to defend their rights and to bring about good environmental practices in coastal areas.
They are engaged in the education of the wider civil society and pressurize the Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL) to implement the Lesson Learnt and Reconciliation Commission's recommendations, which are meant as a facilitating instrument to establish a democratic society in Sri Lanka.
